Our showroom combines sound systems and home cinemas, music recording and mixing studio, audiophile CD and LP’s and an outstanding technical service and design department.
We are uniquely qualified to handle musical, pro audio, and hi-end hi-fidelity exotic repairs, modifications, upgrades, and restorations. There is no schematic we cannot decipher, no diagnostic issue to grave for this team.
Our technical services department comprises Service, headed by Stephane Vermette, designer and amp specialist, (a.k.a svrubis) and Design directed by acclaimed designer and award winning Engineer Michel Vanden Broeck.
Buying an audio/video system at CDF audio...
The staff at CDF audio/video are not your average sales people. We are all industry professionals who are actively involved in music and film production locally and internationally. The guys and “gal” of CDF audio/video have they’re hands in all aspects of the professional audio/video world from manufacturing to producing records and cd’s, mixing for film and television and most importantly giving you the very finest home cinema and two channel experience possible.
The very best products...
We are very aware that most manufactures and magazines lead you believe that there is a very best product. In fact, the products themselves represent a large part of your systems performance they do not salvage poor set-up or mismatched components. At CDF audio our goal is to provide you with quality components and most importantly to implement our set-up expertise to maximize your investment in quality audio/video components at all levels and price points so that you feel comfortable.
How do we do it?
Well some call us peculiar and others particular. We prefer the latter!
CDF audio/video is independently owned. We are not part of a chain or a “buyers group”;
if we don’t see the merit in a particular product we just won’t sell it… regardless of profit margin,
exclusivity or brand recognition, end of story.
CDF’s young, dynamic and “particular” team are all involved in the product decisions
and your complete satisfaction in the investment you make in our brands and us.
The proof is in the pudding.
CDF audio/video is unique in North America. To the best of our knowledge we are the only audio/video retail store that not only has integrated our very own recording studio, complete
with a 7-½ foot grand piano into our retail space but also houses
(on our 4th floor) one of Canada’s premier mix to picture postproduction studios.
When it come’s to sound and picture we are not guessing! We are extremely serious about the results and performance we provide to you and the faith you place in us. We hope you are getting the picture (pun intended).
Our policies.
Young, earnest and knowledgeable enthusiasts own CDF audio/video and we will go that extra mile to satisfy your needs and expectations to gain your enthusiasm for our organization. It would be our pleasure to demonstrate our products and expertise in your home or at our shop, no obligation required. We would be absolutely thrilled to “mic” up a piano or record a vocal or horn and play it back in our studio so you can truly evaluate the transparency and realism of the system we are proposing. We are aware that many manufactures build super heavy loudspeakers and projectors (including are own brands) but this is inconsequential to us. We are still open to in home demonstrations of all the products we carry if that’s what you desire.
And finally…The ultimate home audio and home cinema This is true only when the actual equipment disappears and the art and vision of the musical artist and film producer are replayed and displayed accurately in your living room. They’re vision is all that should remain. We know and sincerely believe we can obtain this result as closely as anyone in the industry.
